Jonathan D. Ruhe has been a research intern with the Center on Islam, Democracy and the Future of the Muslim World since June 2005. His research has focused on such issues as the growing presence of Islamism and covert terrorist activities in Latin America, and Chinese foreign policy in Central Asia, as well as its domestic policy toward its own Muslim populations. He also serves as the editorial assistant for the Center's semiannual journal. Prior to joining Hudson, Ruhe graduated from the University of Chicago (political science and philosophy) where he was a fellow in the Program on International Security Policy (PISP), and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Security Studies at Georgetown's School of Foreign Service.
